Mustering Days
"One day fresh, he looks like this. This story about going out country, mustering, got swag, bit of flour, sugar, tea. We go out for a month or so, mustering. In my time, that's what we do. Bring the cattle to the station. Big job. Now they use chopper. But in my day we get them by horse, get them in the paddock and count them and drive them to Broome, Derby or Wyndham. I was born in Louisa Downs then come across here. There was just spinifex. All them changes. Now you see road train and chopper but in my day we get them wild cattle by horse. This is my story. I'm Mervyn Street. Born in the bush and now I'm telling stories."
