Anindilyakwa Artists / Bark and Sculpture Workshop
To coincide with the opening of a very special exhibition at Laundry Gallery during the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair, Malarra, angalya akwa amamardamilya (rock, land, leaf), join Anindilyakwa Art artists, Daniel Ngurruwuthun and Sandy Maymuru, at Laundry Gallery on Saturday 12 August from 2-4pm.
Learn about traditional, Groote Eylandt bark painting and try your hand at creating your own unique, interpretation under the artists’ guidance.
Working with ochre, manganese and locally sourced stringy bark, paint your story surrounded by the artworks of the Anindilyakwa community and preview the exciting new exhibition.
