EXHIBITION // TJULPU TJUTA; TJILKAMATA TJUTA!

Vibrant works on paper by the inimitable Dulcie Sharpe.

“I used to go all the time to Kwale Kwale to see my sister. I used to see all the pretty birds and spikey echidnas when I was there. When I was little girl we did lot of walking round collecting all the bush foods with my sister and my Grandmother and all my family. We were really happy back then. But now my sister passed away I feel sad to go there.” ~ Dulcie Sharpe

Dulcie is an award-winning artist and respected elder from Yarrenyty Arltere Town Camp, Mparntwe. Featuring ‘pretty birds and spikey echidnas on Country’, the figures in these paintings speak directly to Dulcie’s sculpture works, demonstrating a beautiful conversation between mediums. Framed in contemporary coloured timber, Dulcie’s works will brighten any wall they land on.
