EXHIBTION // PMARA ALTURlA
Laundry Gallery presents Pmara Alturla (My Home in the West) — an exhibition of vibrant, mind-bending desert landscapes by Reinhold Inkamala of Iltja Ntjarra (Many Hands) Art Centre.
Pmara Alturla presents a series of psychedelic desert landscapes by Reinhold Inkamala of Iltja Ntjarra (Many Hands) Art Centre. Drawing on memory, Country and lived experience, Inkamala’s paintings depict expansive Western desert environments rendered in vivid colour and rhythmic pattern.
Through bold compositions and pulsating surfaces, the works evoke both the physical vastness and the spiritual presence of place. His distinctive visual language transforms familiar desert forms into dynamic fields of movement and light, suggesting shifting atmospheres, ancestral pathways and the enduring relationship between people and land.
This exhibition offers an immersive encounter with landscapes understood not only as terrain, but as living, storied spaces shaped by culture, history and ongoing connection. Pmara Alturla (My Home in the West) invites viewers to experience Country through colour, sensation and a deeply personal vision of home.
