Join acclaimed master weaver Regina Pilawuk Wilson for an exclusive weaving masterclass at Laundry Gallery!

The weavings are made of merrepen (sandpalm) which are harvested, then stripped into smaller fibres and then often naturally dyed with bush plants, roots and berries to make yellow, red, black, orange, purple, and pink.

The masterclass will include demonstrations on stripping the Merrepen fibres to prepare them for weaving, presentation of Ngan’gikurrungurr country bush dyes and the roots/plants they come from and then a weaving stitch lesson.
